What a drag it is getting old…

I have been so incredibly busy the past few months! Between work and kids getting sick, and regular, boring adult life, I feel like time has just slipped away from me.

So I’ll be getting a few book reviews up soon. Since my last review I’ve finished loads of books.

I just finished up “Best Friends Forever” by Jennifer Weiner, before that I finished re-reading The Bachman Books by Stephen King, and before that, The Fall by Guillermo Del Toro. Also, AWOL on the Appalachian Trail, which momentarily made me consider trying to thru-hike over a period of years. That is, until I got towards the end of the book, where the author discusses how cold it got in Maine and how treacherous the mountains were by the time he got there. I think I’ll stick with camping from now on…preferably in a pop-up camper.

Am I missing any books? Possibly… OH! The Hunchback of Neiman Marcus. I don’t think I’ve reviewed that one yet either.

So you see, I have been reading plenty. Just haven’t gotten up the energy to review. So hopefully in the next few days I’ll get there.

Meanwhile, I’m doing this challenge I saw online a year or so ago where you read 50 books in a year. My ultimate goal, actually, is 100 books in a year. But I’ll start with the 50. A friend of mine pointed out that it’s a book a week. When I have the time that’s no problem. I read fast. But sometimes life bogs my reading schedule down. So we’ll see.

Also, if anyone out there (all of my 3 readers) knows of anyone who would be willing to donate a business card design, that would be fantastic. I’d like it to somehow tie in to the look on this blog. Purple and pink are good colors. Something sort of whimsical and dreamy.

Hey, at least I’m not asking to borrow money or your car. ;)

I’m now at 14 books read since January 1st. I’m starting my 15th today.
